NIKKAH SERVICES.
The Imams at Sutton Coldfield Masjid can perform your Nikkah, for those couples who wish to marry under Islamic Law. We are not an authorised registrar therefore an additional civil ceremony will be required in order to be legally married.
STANDARD SERVICE
KEY INFORMATION.
The legal age of marriage and civil partnerships has been raised to 18 in England and Wales. The new law also applies to cultural and religious marriages. You will need to ensure that both the bride and groom meet this criteria. Photo ID will be required, along with proof of address.
The ceremony will take place in the main prayer hall therefore attendees will be gender segregated. Professional photography and video recordings are prohibited. Food or drink should not be served. A Nikkah Certificate will be provided after the ceremony.
At least two-weeks prior notice is required to arrange a service.
