ITIKAF GUIDELINES.

Registration

Registration for Itikaf will be required for all those intending to participate. To perform Itikaf at the Masjid you must be over the age of 16. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Designated Area

Itikaf will be observed in a designated area of the Masjid. You will be advised on where to keep all personal items and belongings.

Cleanliness

Maintain cleanliness of the Itikaf area at all times. This should extend to any prayer spaces and meditation spots being used throughout the Masjid.

Silence and Respect

Observe silence as much as possible, especially during the night. Speak softly when necessary, and avoid idle chatter. Show respect to fellow worshippers.

Modest Dress

Dress modestly and in accordance with Islamic principles throughout the duration of your stay.

Electronics

Minimise the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices except for essential communication or Islamic study resources.

Food & Drink

All Iftar and Sahur meals will be provided by the Masjid.

Leaving the Masjid

Observing Itikaf requires you to stay at the Masjid at all times. You should only leave for essential needs or unavoidable circumstances.

Hygiene

Maintain good personal hygiene.

Spiritual Guidance

Imams will be available for religious and spiritual guidance throughout your stay.

Health

If you have health concerns, consult your doctor before observing Itikaf. Keep any necessary medications at hand.
